Georgia Gulf is one of ten national companies showcased at the recent annual conference of the Profit Sharing Council of America (PSCA). Hurricane Rita, following close behind Katrina, made its mark on Georgia Gulf facilities in Lake Charles and Plaquemine. The plants were shutdown for an extended period of time following Rita due to the absence of natural gas, feedstocks and utilities. Lake Charles had only superficial damage and repairs were quickly made.

Georgia Gulf Aberdeen has teamed up with the Monroe County Habitat for Humanity and is building a house in the Athens/Becker community. In addition to contributing $10,000 to Habitat for the project, GGC volunteers are working to turn a dream into reality for Randy Stripling and his three young children.

Congratulations to GGC Aberdeen employees who were recently honored for their longevity with the company. Employees and a guest celebrated various years of service during a banquet at The Golden Horn in Columbus, Mississippi. Each employee received a certificate in recognition of their years of service.
